水溶性ポリマーの生体内凝集効果に基づく小線源型がん治療用放射性薬剤の開発Development of Seed-type Radiopharmaceuticals Based on In Vivo Aggregation of Water-soluble Polymer for Cancer-targeted Radiotherapy

近年,α線放出核種を利用したがん治療において,進行がんに対する高い治療効果が報告されたことより,核医学治療が再び脚光を浴びると同時に,これに資する薬剤開発に高い関心が集まっている。著者は,水溶性ポリマーであるポリオキサゾリン(POZ)が熱に応答して凝集する特徴を有する点に着目し,POZの生体内凝集効果に基づく小線源型放射性薬剤の開発を進めてきた。本稿では,これらの研究成果について紹介する。
Recently, cancer-targeted radiotherapy using α-particle-emitting radionuclides has been reported to be highly effective against advanced tumors, therefore the development of radiopharmaceuticals for internal radiotherapy has regained the spotlight. The author focused on the fact that polyoxazoline (POZ), a water-soluble polymer, thermoresponsively aggregate, and developed radiopharmaceuticals utilizing in vivo aggregation of POZ. This paper describes these results.
