活性炭素繊維フィルタに関する空気中のCH3[131I]の捕集効率とGM管測定Collection Efficiency of CH3[131I] in the Air by Activated Carbon Fiber Filter and Its GM Tube Measurement

フェルト状とネット状の活性炭素繊維フィルタについて,CH3[131I]に対する捕集効率をJIS Z 4336の試験条件で求めた。両者とも高い捕集効率を示した。放射能が既知のCH3[131I]を含む活性炭素繊維フィルタに取扱いが容易なGM管を密着して求めた計数値はその放射能と直線関係にあり,GM管による測定でも活性炭素繊維フィルタ内の131Iの定量が可能であることが明らかになった。GM管による測定法は,緊急時における131Iのモニタリングに十分適用できると考えられる。

The collection efficiency of CH3[131I] in the air by a felt and by a net shape activated carbon fiber filter were determined under the test conditions of JIS Z 4336. Both showed high collection efficiency. The count value measured by a GM tube in close contact with the activated carbon fiber filter was linearly related to the radioactivity. It was concluded, therefore, that the radioactivity of 131I in the activated carbon fiber filter can be quantified by GM tube measurement. This GM tube measurement method may prove useful in the monitoring of 131I in emergency situations.
