GARISが拓く超重元素の化学106番元素シーボーギウムのカルボニル錯体の合成Superheavy Element Chemistry Pioneered by GARISSynthesis of a Carbonyl Complex of Element 106, Seaborgium

We have been developing a novel chemistry apparatus for superheavy elements (SHEs) by coupling a gas-jet transport system to the RIKEN GAs-filled Recoil Ion Separator (GARIS). Recently, the long-lived isotope 265Sg useful for chemistry studies of element 106, seaborgium was produced, and Sg(CO)6 was successfully synthesized as the first organometallic compound of SHEs. Perspectives of the SHE chemistry pioneered by GARIS are presented.
